What happens to what you send me.
Short version: it goes to my phone and my inbox so I can reply about your yard. That’s it.
What the estimate form collects
Only what you type in: the kind of project, your town, your timeline, your name and phone number, and how you’d like me to reach you. Photos, a note, an email address, a rough budget and “how did you hear about me” are all optional, and the form works without them.
Where it goes
The form sends an email, through Cloudflare’s email service, to Zane Cannon, with a copy to the person who maintains this website for him. Nothing is stored on the website itself: there’s no database and no account. Once it’s sent, your details live in those two inboxes and on Zane’s phone. Cloudflare handles the email on its way and may keep delivery records for a while, as email services do. If your phone adds location data to photos and the form can’t shrink a photo first, that data may be in the copy that’s sent.
If you add photos, they and your form answers (except the name, phone and email boxes) are also sent to Anthropic’s API so its AI, Claude, can write Zane a short first look at the job before he calls you. That includes anything you type in the note, and any location your phone saved in a photo. You don’t see it, and it doesn’t price the job. Anthropic doesn’t use this to train its models and normally deletes it from its systems within 30 days.
What it’s used for
Replying to you about the estimate: a text, a call or an email, whichever you asked for, and then the visit and the quote if you want to go ahead. Your details are not sold, shared with anyone else, or added to a marketing list. You won’t get a newsletter, because there isn’t one. If you tick the optional box for automated texts, you may get a few texts about your estimate and project, like scheduling, a reminder and a review request after the job. Reply STOP to any of them and they stop. Your number, and whether you ticked the box, are never sold or shared for anyone’s marketing.
Calling or texting instead
If you text or call rather than use the form, your message and number are on Zane’s phone like any other text or call, and are used the same way.
The website itself
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which keeps ordinary request logs (such as the address a request came from and the page asked for) as part of running the service. The site uses no analytics or advertising trackers at the moment. If that changes, this page will say so.
Having your details deleted
Ask, and they’re deleted from the inboxes and the phone. Call or text (208) 570-8215, or email cannonlandscapingllc@gmail.com.
